What stays on your device

Your records, ghosts (recorded throttle inputs), saved tracks, championship progress, daily streak, chosen character, rider name and settings are stored on your device only. We do not upload them and cannot read them. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we do not collect

No name, no e-mail, no address book, no location, no microphone, no photos. The game has no account and no login.

Usage statistics

To learn which parts of the game people play, the game sends anonymous events to Aptabase (hosted in the EU): for example "a race started" with the mode and track, "a race finished" with laps, time and position, "the editor was opened", "a track was shared", "an ad was requested". Nothing in these events identifies you or your device — no identifier, no location, no account. A random session number groups events from one sitting and is forgotten after an hour of inactivity. You can turn this off in Settings → Usage stats; nothing is sent then.

Online leaderboards (coming in an update)

When you submit a lap time to an online leaderboard, the game sends the track code, your lap time, the recorded throttle inputs of that run, the rider name you typed in the settings and a random player identifier created on your device. Our server (hosted in the EU) replays the inputs to verify the time and stores the result so it can show a leaderboard and let other players race your ghost. The identifier is never shown to anyone; other players see only your rider name, time and character. To remove your entries, write to us with your rider name and the track, or reset the game's data on your device (a new identifier is created and old entries are no longer yours).

Advertising

The game is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect data about your device, such as an advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Read more in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

• Where ads appear. A short ad break at most after every third finished race, never during a race, and an optional rewarded ad only when you ask for it (the Coach button). Buying No ads removes both.
• Your choice. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown. On iOS the system asks whether the app may track you; if you decline, the advertising identifier is not shared. Without consent you see non-personalised ads only.
• Changing your mind. You can change your choice at any time in the game's settings under Privacy.

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive only a confirmation that a purchase took place, never your payment details.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data and to object to its processing. Write to hello@punxarcade.com; we reply within 30 days. Requests about advertising data are handled by Google; write to us and we will help. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority (ÚOOÚ).

This website

groovepunks.com uses no cookies, no trackers and no third-party content. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security, for a limited time. The playable web version at /hraj/ follows the same rules as the app: everything stays in your browser, usage statistics can be turned off in its settings, and it shows no ads.

Changes

We will update this page before a new version of the game that changes how data is handled is released.
